Topic: Communication Breakdowns and What to Do About Them
Eileen Marma, Peer Mentor, will discuss and provide examples of familiar communication scenarios that might lead to misunderstandings and disappointments between a person with a hearing loss and a person with normal hearing.
Using communication rules and analysis of “Wrong Ways” and Right Ways” from Sam Trychin’s Living with Hearing Loss series, we will practice and develop an understanding of how to create better communication for ourselves.
Please bring a small purchased snack item to share.
Water and juice will be provided.
